For this body of work, I dove into the processes behind making, simultaneously pursuing ideas of beauty and ‘prettiness’ and their relationships to femininity.
Ranging from complete control over the Found Shell series to minimal control over Overboiled and Mildew #1 (growth), I explored the agency that I, as an artist, had over the making of my work through the incorporation of natural phenomena.
