Arhythms

Arhythms, an audio/visual digital work, is an exploration of sonic scale, aural manipulation, and stop-motion processes. The boundaries of pitch and rhythm are pushed to the limit. Recordings of a handmade small-scale drum kit are abstracted and extracted with a goal to get the biggest sound out of the smallest place.

Bio

Hunter Coleman is a musician and transdisciplinary sculptor. His practice is multi-faceted and includes live drum performance, instrument-making, sound art, video, and aural installation.  Coleman is a drummer above all else and uses his rhythmic sense to find new pathways between music-making and art-making.
