Sweet Tooth
Every child dreams of being whisked away to some magical world at their whim. Whether it was because they wanted to be the hero of their own story, or because they’re mad at mom for making broccoli for dinner instead of ice cream, every kid partakes in make-believe at some point. And the role that the media such as cartoons and video games has played in contributing to a child’s unrealistic standards on what the world is like is huge, especially in the twenty-first century. That is why my art and animation are the way they are today - because of countless influences from the realm of movies, TV shows, and video games I grew up on. My thesis, Sweet Tooth, is the result of using animation as a form of escapism, as well as a form of play.
