Leave Your Mark

Leave Your Mark is a story that explores and extends the provocative subject of graffiti by engaging in the spectacle of graffiti while proposing the fusion of expressive ideas and bodily movements in a harmonious and erratic performance. The title of the work alludes to the significance of acting upon the material world as a form of proof of the need to validate one's presence. This shares a primary relationship with the phrase Seize the Day as the foundational objective of one's fleeting vitality as a catalyst for the overarching narrative. "Leave Your Mark" interprets and addresses the suggestive imagery of graffiti as a reciprocal that repurposes the performance of the body and the mind as non-contained entities.

Bio

From a young age, I became fascinated with street art and grunge art because it existed alongside my short metropolitan life in Colombia. Since then, I've been quite interested in developing my drawing, illustration, and animation skills to be akin to that of a young rebellious teen in a bustling city. I find much of my inspiration from contemporary street artists like David Choe, Banksy, ROA, and Juan Travieso.
