Caroline Kouba

Collecting Conversation

This breath of work developed as an exploration of narratives in the monotone and mundane; of quiet and silence, and the idea of insignificance. It grew as conversation, collecting, and archiving – bringing unexpected voices together. My work slowly becoming more and more captivated by the unintentional and in-between of narratives. I aimed to capture the stories and warmth banal everyday places can still hold. How words from strangers can affect us ever so deeply. How nothingness can become something so deeply swaying. How we can capture these mundane moments, before they too become another fleeting memory.
