Tokyo Drifting

Tokyo Drifting is a short animatic that seeks to capture the sense of wonder and camaraderie I experienced as a fledgling member of the fighting game community. The sequence combines modern esports culture with recognizable, classic arcade motifs, as well as dynamic, sweeping camera angles, cinematic staging, and depth of field to achieve an epic, filmic scope.

Bio

Ben Warndahl is a New England based animator and designer whose artistic range includes storyboarding, game development, and generative animation.
