GAZE
Gaze is a fictional town heavily inspired by the landscapes and architecture of the Lakes Region of Maine. Gaze is a town that is mundane, foliage and critter-filled on the surface. It has the touch of humans when there are none present. But underneath the surface, there are magical forces that linger. The magical atmosphere of the small town explores the representations of dissociation and ethereality in the everyday; depicting the inability, yet longing to fully grasp reality. Liminal spaces such as roads and disjointed paneling blur linear paths and timelines. In my imagery, content, and process I develop a longing for clarity and a connection to the universe. I am dually subverting and depicting dissociation from my unique perspective. The way I perceive etherality and magical realism are redefined under my dissociative lens of the universe.Bio
