The Crane Game

Hello, my name is Anna Langhill, and this is my thesis, The Crane Game. It's an animated motion comic, made from my love of sequential storytelling and tense storylines. It follows the story of an in debt businessman named Cliff Graves, who has found himself playing a gamble of insane proportions. It was created in a monochromatic color palette to give it that classic comic book feel, with a hint of detective noir eeriness. I added selective color to enhance certain parts of the film. Overall, I wanted this to have a tense feeling, and to show off my appreciation of dark storytelling, alongside my love for stories with consequences. I hope you enjoy my film.
