Intermission

Intermission is a collection of short comics that are rooted in feelings of dissociation and isolation. The narratives are presented in a surreal manner to emulate these feelings, rather than depict an actual experience.

Bio

Alyssa Slobodzian was born and raised in the Portland area of Maine and currently resides in South Portland. They are a digital illustrator who primarily creates narrative work such as comics and children's books. Slobodzian’s choice of subject matter varies but there are reoccurring themes of queerness and mental health within their work.
